Clegg admits fundraising through ‘personal services’
Fundraising News: The Government has been hit by a further fundraising scandal, after it emerged that Deputy PM Nick Clegg has been raising money for the Liberal Democrats through ‘personal services’ advertised in phone boxes.
The ads, which have been found in phone boxes across Westminster, offer ‘donors’ a variety of services – ranging from a full and frank discussion of the European constitution to an emotionally-charged monologue about why the referendum on the Alternative Vote sytem failed.
The adverts also offer punters the chance to ‘listen to a Radiohead album’ with Clegg as he whispers an erotic promise to remain ‘completely passive’ while the Government dismantles the welfare state.
It’s thought that Clegg’s services have raised nearly £1,600 for the Liberal Democrats, enough to pay for all the sandwiches and barley water at the next party conference.
