Lib Dem intern regrets drunken sex with Lib Dem intern after post-conference party

Regret News: An intern for the Lib Dems is bitterly regretting a one-night stand with another Lib Dem intern last night, after a ‘crazy’ post-conference drinks party in a Brighton hotel.

“We were all pretty buzzed after the conference and its universal message of ‘everyone hates us but we’re all in it together’,” said the intern, who wished to remain anonymous.

“But then a couple of bottles of lukewarm Pinot Grigio got opened and things started to get pretty crazy.”

The intern admits the other intern wasn’t the type of man she would normally be attracted to, but simply got ‘caught up in the moment’.

“He was wearing sandals and socks and smoking a pipe. Normally I’d have gotten out of there sharpish, but when he started talking at length about Paddy Ashdown and the social liberal economist John Maynard Keynes things just clicked. Either that or I was really drunk.”

“It could have been worse. I could have had Menzies Campbell inside me, in which case I’d have probably walked into the sea at dawn.”
