Calling all designers and people who make stuff

PROMOTION: If you’ve ever watched late night shopping channels you’d be forgiven for thinking that ‘crafts’ meant some Martha Stewart wannabe gluing glitter and lace doilies on tatty paper to palm off on their friends as presents.

It’s time to take back that word from the realm of the glitter-sprinklers and give it back to the professionals and the artisans – shoemakers, metal workers, potters, bakers – people with actual skills.

Ketel One vodka has partnered with global creative magazine Wallpaper* on a quest to find contemporary craftsmen who bring traditional skills into the modern day. We are looking for modern craftsmen who want to take their work, their careers, themselves further – to establish a legacy of their own.

Up for grabs is the chance to feature in a high-profile Modern Craft Exhibition and be included in a unique Modern Craft Directory – plus coverage in Wallpaper* and the international exposure that goes with it.

We will also be helping selected craftsmen to take their work to the next level and to an even wider audience by giving them the chance to win a share of the Ketel One Legacy prize fund of £30,000. Entries close on 15th January 2013.
