Derren Brown Tricked Into Thinking He’s A Magician

Illusion News: It’s alleged that a TV channel, book publishers, theatres and the general public collaborated to help convince a man he was a famous hypnotist and magician.

It’s said that Channel Four, a number of actors and hundreds of thousands of members of the public willingly conspired in the elaborate deception, which helped convince the 41-year-old man from Croydon that he was a successful illusionist, mentalist and hypnotist with a number of controversial TV specials and best selling stage shows and books.

“It has been our most elaborate prank yet,” said an unamed source at Channel 4, who are accused of masterminding the illusion. “Since we first approached him in 1999 to make a mind-reading show the poor guy hasn’t had a clue that this whole thing is a massive set up.”

“We thank all the members of the public who have faithfully stayed in character during his shows to make sure Derren didn’t have any idea this was just a big hoax.”
