David Cameron Ambushed By Intelligent Question On This Morning
TV News: Prime Minister David Cameron was left speechless on daytime TV show This Morning, after being caught off-guard by an intelligent question.
“I didn’t come here for this,” exclaimed a flushed Cameron. “I was expecting some cosy questions about dinner party tips or at the very most riding Rebekah Brooks’ horse.”
The question, which concerned the Government’s long term economic strategy, was asked by Phillip Schofield. Co-host Holly Willoughby then posed a series of tough follow up questions, ranging from the UK’s place in Europe to foreign policy in the middle east.
“I thought you were just going to ask me if I’d started doing my Christmas shopping yet!” yelped a clearly flustered Cameron. “Then you were going to cut to an item with that Gino Ginelli man making shepherd’s pie. You promised!”
“The Prime Minister was not expecting to be asked anything intelligent,” said a Downing Street spokesman. “He had however prepared a list of contemporary music acts in case he was asked about what was on his iPod.”
