Strictly Come Dancing Stars Axed Over Misleading ‘Fake’ Tan
Tan News: A number of stars from Strictly Come Dancing have been sacked after their tans might have given viewers ‘an unrealistic idea of skin tone’.
The scandal-stricken BBC was forced to fire a number of Strictly stars – including dancers Erin Boag and Flavia Cacace, as well as celebrities Michael Vaughan and Nicky Byrne – after their fake tans gave viewers ‘the misleading idea that they had been in the sun’.
“With the controversy over Newsnight, the BBC is on high alert to avoid anything that could mislead viewers,” said a source on the show. “Management thinks that pale honesty is better than orange lies.”
“I’ve even heard rumours than in future on Saturday Kitchen, host James Martin will now spend ten minutes explaining to viewers that what he just put in the oven hasn’t cooked in five seconds – and that we are now looking at an identical dish that was prepared and cooked earlier in the day.”
