Drinker Unsure If He’s In A Beer Garden Or Just The Place Where They Keep The Bins

Pub News: A drinker was recently left unsure if he was enjoying his pint in an actual pub beer garden, or he was just standing in the place the landlord dumps rubbish.

“When I initially left the pub and walked out into the back I thought it was a typical urban pub beer garden. Then I noticed the bin full of old WKD bottles that had been dumped there and I didn’t feel so sure,” said Martin Hanger of Bridport, Dorset.

Mr. Hangar says the confusion came about because like most suburban beer gardens it had no visible signs of plant life and held a brutal, post-apocalyptic atmosphere to it.

“I also thought the pub had provided an ashtray for smokers, but on reflection that might just have been an empty tin of beans with some fag ends in it. Likewise, what I thought was drinking water for dogs was probably just an abandoned washing-up bowl full of rain and piss.”
