Rubbish Celebrities Paying Tribute To Nelson Mandela

Nelson News: After the sad passing of Nelson Mandela last week, leading figures from across the world came together to pay their respects to the great man. We heard heartfelt speeches from people like Desmond Tutu, Jacob Zuma and Barack Obama, all of whom opened up to tell us all how they were inspired in a very real sense by the revolutionary South African leader.

But who cares about that lot, eh? What does Bobby Davro have to say about it all? Steve Charnock (@tvBite) trawled the Twitter feeds of real celebrities to find out…

1. Jack Tweed – Jade Goody’s widower has found the perfect emoticon for Mr. ‘Mendela’ – Gregg Wallace staring at a metronome.

 2. Arlene Phillips (CBE) – Dancer. Philosopher. Awful photographer.

3. Nelson Mandela did indeed teach us principles and dignity as a politician. Mostly by keeping his sexual encounters with The Cheeky Girls to a minimum.

4. Dan Walker inspires us to instantly turn off Football Focus.

5. When the news broke, our first thoughts were what Yvette from ‘Allo ‘Allo made of the situation. Now we know.

6. Dane Bowers – First Nelson Mandela dies, now Dane Bowers is upset. WHY DOES THE WORLD HAVE TO BE SO CRUEL?!

7. Tony Mortimer – Brian Harvey would have tweeted a quote in tribute but Mandela never said anything memorable about potatoes.

8. The X Factor’s Nicholas ‘@’ mentioning Mandela here in a vain and shameless bid for a posthumous retweet from him.

9. Here’s Big Brother’s Aisleyne using the death of a hugely influential civil rights activist to try and recruit a boyfriend.

10. We’ll all remember where we were when Bobby Davro told us where he was when Mandela passed, won’t we? Not in a pub tent in Baston watching Bobby Davro.

11. Sean from Coronation Street here. Quoting Shakespeare.

12. Is Busta Rhymes deaf?

13. ‘Man’, Paul Danan? Bit disrespectful that, man.

14. Derek Acorah actually sent this tweet back in October. sPoOkY!
