Internet Old Timer Remembers The First Time That Picture Went Viral

Tech News: An experienced internet user has fondly remembered the first, second and third time a funny picture went viral and everyone thought it was brand new.

“I remember it like it was yesterday,” said Graham Bellfield, 71, as he eased back into his chair and lit his pipe.

“It was a crisp autumnal morning in 2004 and I was checking a forum I used to frequent when I first saw the funny picture. How we all laughed – then, eight months later the exact same picture came up again and some people thought it was brand new.”

“I still laughed – because it was a funny picture – but also told people it was a repost and old. Then when it came around for the third, fourth and fifth times, the laughter subsided and I just wearily nodded.”

“I still always tell people that it’s a years old repost – simply because I can’t stand the thought of other people enjoying something for the first time. And I’m bit of a prick.”
