First Spacecraft Landing on a Comet

The European Space Agency said it landed a spacecraft on a comet Wednesday making it the first time anyone has ever done so.

The craft, named Philae, finally landed after a decade of planning and research on the icy piece of rock hurtling through space.

It used hooks and harpoons to latch onto the comet.
