Walmart sorry for making ISIS flag cake
Walmart, the owners of ASDA, have apologised after turning the ISIS flag into a delicious baked treat, reports the Daily What.
The cake was made after a man from Louisiana ordered a cake decorated with the Confederate flag. Walmart refused to make the cake, so he decided to conduct an experiment to challenge the store’s policy and ordered a cake with the ISIS battle flag design instead – this one went through without a hitch.
USA Today reports that Walmart have now apologised:
“Our talented bakery associates take pride in what they create for our customers. It’s unfortunate one customer thought to take advantage of an associate who did not know the flag and its meaning. This cake should not have been made, and we apologize for the mistake.”
