What is it about Benedict Cumberbatch’s face that Hollywood won’t use for posters?
Three Cumberbatch movies and three times Hollywood has failed to stick his face on the poster:
Maybe it’s like Nate Ruegger suggests:
Mr. Cumberbatch? Could you please face the camera?
“…No.”
But it’s for the poster–
“No.”
Benedict, just turn aroun–
“No!”
Or maybe it’s like The Verge says, “Is Benedict Cumberbatch’s face too beautiful for movie posters?”
Our theory? There’s a drying up of ideas in Hollywood as they’ve also used the same “stick widely spaced text on Matt Damon’s face” movie poster FOUR times now:
Interestingly they also did a “Matt Damon” on Benedict Cumberbatch once:
THERE ARE NO NEW IDEAS! BURN IT ALL DOWN!
