The Daily Star think the Navy’s new five-inch gun is only five inches long
Clearly someone at The Daily Star’s gun-desk was off sick, as they ran this story that claimed the Navy had paid £183 million for a gun that was only five inches long.

The five inch bit actually refers to the calibre, or internal diameter of the barrel, not the length.

The story has since been corrected and rewritten to make guns sound like a really good thing. Yay!
