However, some are calling bullshit:

Well, there wasn’t 50 years ago at least, but something quite similar does exist today (one-way mirrored coatings). So, no one gets the second part of the joke nowadays. Because it’s theoretically possible to install a one-way coating backwards today, but wasn’t in the past.”

“There actually isn’t any windows in the bathroom itself, but they think they could see in through the windows in their living room. I’m thinking that this was their way of telling them that they can see them being nasty in their living room, they’re not exactly shy people.”
