As part of its campaign praising the noteworthy elements of Great Britain, the Foreign Office tweeted this message “Opening in 2017, the 2.7 km Queensferry Crossing will be the longest 3 tower cable-stayed bridge in the world“.
The problem is that not only is the Queensferry Crossing nothing to do with the UK government as it’s entirely funded by the Scottish government but it was also accompanied by a splendid photograph of the Forth Road Bridge, causing Twitter to reply with an array of ‘corrections’.
