Donald Trump was carved as a gargoyle in Southwell Minster 700 years ago
Looks like someone in the 14th century called it first – this cathedral in Nottinghamshire has a gargoyle that bears an uncanny resemblance to a certain Wotsits-coloured President.

Technically they’re called a “grotesque”, as gargoyles are spouts for draining water off the building. You may also remember that 14th century Paisley Abbey in Scotland has a grotesque that looks like the xenomorph from the Alien films (it was added in the 1990’s).
And Washington National Cathedral has a Darth Vader grotesque, added in the 1980’s.
