Iceland president: “I can’t ban pineapple on pizza”
The Iceland president has been forced to clarify his stance on one of the great issues facing the world at this difficult time – whether pineapple should be allowed on pizza.
Guðni Th. Jóhannesson created a social media storm after he suggested the tropical fruit should be banned as a topping on pizza during a school visit.

In the face of a growing international incident, the president responded with a message on his Facebook page clarifying his stance, saying he didn’t like pineapple on his pizza but he had no plans to stop other people putting it on theirs.
