Hollywood Boulevard gets a life-size gold Kanye West Jesus statue

Los Angeles based artist Plastic Jesus has erected a statue of Kanye West as Jesus on Hollywood Boulevard for the people attending the Oscars to witness in all its glory.

The sculpture is “as critical of us as consumers as it is of Kanye himself”, the artist told the The Hollywood Reporter.

“He’s a genius at writing and producing but he’s not a God, and that’s where we put him. Until there’s an issue in his life or a hiccup in his career, then we crucify him,” .

In 2015 he made another life-size sculpture, this time of the Oscar award statue on all fours, hoovering up a line of cocaine.
