The tweet sent by the guy in charge of the Oscars envelopes minutes before the best picture balls-up

A chap called Brian Cullinan has copped the blame for the hilarious Oscars best picture mix-up.

The PriceWaterhouseCoopers accountant was supposed to hand the best picture envelope to presenters Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway.

But PwC said he “mistakenly handed [them] the back-up envelope for actress in a leading role instead.”

Cullinan also tweeted a picture of Emma Stone backstage moments before the Oscars world took an unexpected comedy turn. It’s since been deleted, but you can still find it if you look for it.
