Lawyer’s trousers burst into flames during arson trial
There’s probably a not very subtle metaphor here – a Miami defence lawyer’s trousers burst into flames yesterday as he began his closing arguments in front of a jury in an arson case.
The Miami Herald reports that he rushed out of the courtroom, and later returned with a singed pocket – claiming it was due to a faulty battery in an e-cigarette and not a stunt to get his client acquitted.
