Trying to find the snake in this photo is sending people totally nuts
There really IS a snake somewhere in this photo. It’s just really well camouflaged.

The photo, taken by Judy Davis in Texas, was tweeted by @SssnakeySci, a Phd student in snake biology.
The challenge was promptly taken up by large numbers of people on Twitter. It turns out a lot of them are still looking.
@SssnakeySci @AlongsideWild No I can't spot it!

@SssnakeySci @AlongsideWild I give up, where is it? Circle in red. With arrows.

Finally people began to crack it, but it still wasn’t straightforward.
Go on, have another look.

Think you’ve got it? No? Want to know?
If y'all haven't found it yet… Copperhead, aka Agkistrodon contortrix. Cute but venomous, so no touchy! pic.twitter.com/pSVMIhFP0o

I know, I know. We still can’t see it either. Here it is in extreme close up.

For everyone enjoying this puzzle, please remember: Snakes deserve to live just as we do. Treat them with care & respect, not hate & fear. https://t.co/ZjDFfXn0HP
