People have been taking the piss out of Storm Brian for having such an underwhelming name
Storm Brian has hit the UK, but that hasn’t stopped people taking the piss out of it for being the most un-stormy sounding storm to have ever stormed the country. Here are some of our favourites.
First off, the Life Of Brian references.
Storm Brian; he's not a hurricane he's just a very naughty storm #StormBrian

Somehow “Brian” doesn’t do a storm like this justice.

"Storm, Brian" sounds like an entry in the index at the back of an encyclopaedia of Sixties pop.

The US have exotic storm names like Katrina. We have #StormBrian. Brian sounds like the neighbour who gives you his used copies of @hellomag

Brian? Are we going to name your average autumn storm now? Dibs on the letter J then.
"This storm's a Joke" headlines write themselves.

We’ll leave it to Chas from Chas & Dave to make a good point about UK storm names.
How about naming our storms after old British rockers.Storm Wee Willie Harris. Storm Sid Vicious. Or, why not Storm Gertcha? Storm Bollocks?
