The Tesco Gatwick Extra in Horley, Surrey, commemorated the British and Commonwealth military and civilian wartime contributions with… a pepperoni, olive and pepper pizza.

The photo is doing the rounds on Twitter today – and while the “poppyroni pizza” is real, sadly you’ll have to extinguish your flaming fury-torches for now – this ill advised flatbread happened in 2014 and was unique to that one store.

At the time Tesco said: “Colleagues in stores have been marking Remembrance Sunday in a number of ways and we hope customers see that their intentions in this case were entirely borne out of respect.”
