This Eric Trump tweet defending his dad got exactly the response it deserved
Eric Trump weighed in to defend his father after the so-called president was widely criticised for repeating his ‘Pocahontas’ joke at a White House event honouring Native Americans.
Pocahontas, you’ll remember, is how he derisively refers to his political opponent, Democratic senator Elizabeth Warren.

Here’s what Eric had to say.
The irony of an ABC reporter (whose parent company Disney has profited nearly half a billion dollars on the movie “Pocahontas”) inferring that the name is “offensive” is truly staggering to me.

There was no shortage of replies, but this 10-tweet thread was perfection and worth every tweet.
1.

2.
First, lets start with irony.
I know you used it in your tweet, but tbh, you prob don't know what it means.
i·ro·ny
noun
the expression of one's meaning by using language that normally signifies the opposite, typically for humorous or emphatic effect. 2/— Frederick Douglass (@gettinnoticedmo) November 28, 2017
3.
Okay, now lets break down the ABC reporter/ Disney thing.
Using the word "Pocahontas" as the title of a movie about, "Pocahontas" is not offensive. It would be weird if they called the movie something else. That's kind of how history works. You don't get to make up names. 3/

4.
Now, when your dad used "Pocahontas," he wasn't actually talking about Pocahontas. He was talking about Elizabeth Warren. That's how it becomes offensive. Does this make sense to you? Maybe you need examples? 4/

5.
Example 1:
If I am talking about you and I say, "oh, its Eric Trump" – not offensive.
If I see some person (not you) on the street with a fucked up looking face and teeth and say "Hey, are you Eric Trump?" – offensive 5/
— Frederick Douglass (@gettinnoticedmo) November 28, 2017
6.
Example 2:
If I am talking about Jared and say "That guy is registered to vote as a woman" – not offensive.
If I am watching porn and see two lesbians scissoring and say "What a Jared and Ivanka" – offensive 6/
— Frederick Douglass (@gettinnoticedmo) November 28, 2017
7.
Example 3:
If I am talking about your brother @DonaldJTrumpJr, and say "That guy is going to jail" – not offensive
If I am talking about someone else who got caught DMing with Wikileaks and say "That guy really Don Juniored it" – offensive (even if its true) 7/
— Frederick Douglass (@gettinnoticedmo) November 28, 2017
8.
Example 4:
If I am talking about your dad and say, "That guy is accused of raping a 13 year old" – not offensive
If I am watching Lockup on MSNBC and see a child molester and say "What a Trump" – offensive 8/
— Frederick Douglass (@gettinnoticedmo) November 28, 2017
9.
I hope you can see how this works, if you guys could have your dad unblock me so he could see this, it would be really helpful to him and the country.
I tried to give a really basic explanation, if you have any questions feel free to DM me. 9/

10.
I'd like to end this lesson with a positive inspirational message to you, Eric.
Try to stay as far away from politics as possible so you don't wind up in jail like your father, brother, and sister.
And go to a fucking dentist to have your teeth looked at.
Much love,
Fred✌️— Frederick Douglass (@gettinnoticedmo) November 28, 2017
