Is this bot that just tweeted “shithole” the best bot that’s ever been made?

Loving this brilliant idea for a bot – it scans the New York Times and posts any words used for the first time.

And today it posted “shithole” and went viral.

Why?

Donald Trump, in comment many are calling racist asked “Why do we want all these people from ‘shithole countries’ coming here?” 

Trump is referring to El Salvador, Haiti and Africa.

And the New York Times reported on that, thus putting the word “shithole” into their reporting for the first time.

So how do YOU create something similar?

The bot is created by developer Max Bittker who has put the code on github. This means you can download it and modify it and we think you should.

So what other use it could be put to?

* First time Trump says a new word in a tweet

* Applying it to UK publications like The Guardian (maybe it would find spelling errors?)

* Er… to rude about Piers Morgan?
