This hilarious Swift guide to Swansea might put you off going there
As Taylor Swift was in Swansea to perform in Radio 1’s Big Weekend, BBC Sesh, the new showcase for Welsh talent, sent out comedian, Ignacio Lopez, to record a potted guide to the city for her.
Some highlights probably not approved by Visit Wales include:
“Swifty, I imagine you’re probably familiar with a wishing well, right? Throw in a coin and a wish is granted.
Well, we’ve got a similar thing in Swansea with a fountain, but if you flick a coin in, then a student is going to fish that out and buy chips, cheese and gravy afterwards.”
and
“America is full of famous highways and roads, none more iconic than Route 66.
Well, in Swansea, we have the one-way system, taking you on a scenic route past all of the call centres, cafes and closed brothels.”
And for any Taylor Swift fans – because those are a thing – a few of her song titles are cunningly hidden in the dialogue.
