This guy’s banana trick went viral because now everyone wants to do it
Screenwriter Kevin Biegel is known for his work on Scrubs, Shallow Hal and Cougar Town, so we know he’s creative, but he’s taken his creativity to another level with a single tweet.
“Favorite new thing:
Scratching haunting things into bananas at the market so when people take them home hours later and the words appear they think a ghost knows their secrets.”
He also shared an example of how it works.
Here’s the banana with the message discreetly scratched onto it.
And here’s how it looks after it’s sat in the fruit bowl for a while.
Imagine how terrifying that would be if you were of a nervous or guilty disposition. Absolute genius.
Of course, there were some suggestions for things to write on bananas.
I want to scratch “vote better next time”

One reply told a story of how a similar prank had misfired.
I wrote KILL ME in the shower condensation on the mirror to prank my SO. Then I forgot all about it. About a year later, one of the kids came running out of the bathroom completely freaked out after a shower. I wasn’t home to explain…

Use writing responsibly, people.
