Neville Southall was going to give his Twitter account to the adult baby community – our 15 favourite responses

Former Everton and Wales goalkeeper, Neville Southall, has been a surprise hit on Twitter, with more than 145 thousand followers and frequent very successful tweets. One thing he does regularly is to hand over control of his account to campaign groups that need a large platform to raise awareness or funds.

In case you were wondering, AB/DL stands for Adult Babies/Diaper Lovers, so – to be clear – these are adults who don’t need to wear nappies, but choose to do so. Some Twitter users didn’t think this takeover would be a good idea.

He responded to the criticism with a series of explanatory tweets, which he has now deleted.

But he obviously had second thoughts.

Naturally, Twitter thought Christmas had come early, as these 15 comments show.
