This Tory MP was so owned it’s almost worth the price of Brexit by itself
Here’s Brexity Conservative MP Daniel Kawczynski sharing what might loosely be termed his ‘analysis’ of Brexit while shopping for his fruit and veg at his local Tesco.
And sometimes the replies to a tweet are so perfect you, well, have a read for yourself after a chap called Jim Cornelius took the time to point out where the Tory MP for Shrewsbury had got his facts wrong.

HI Daniel. I zoomed in on your photo, and couldn’t see clearly – but – at this time of year, almost certainly, those lemons are imported from South Africa. They come in on a 0% tariff under the entry price system.
Here’s some from Aldi. pic.twitter.com/cMsfAaaqYY

These blueberries here. They’re from Zimbabwe. Zimbabwe is part of the ESA group of African countries. So under the ESA FTA they enter the UK on a 0% tariff too.
Curiously there’s no specific tariff entry for blueberries it is under “Fruit of the genus Vaccinium – Other”. pic.twitter.com/AxQ9rHAQ27
