This Psycho shower scene spoof is horrifyingly relatable to parents

As any parent knows, it can be practically impossible to get five minutes alone, even in the shower. Brand new comedy team, Mothers Ruined, which consists of Jayne Sharp and Amanda Wilkie, have made a video that illustrates just how horrifying that fact really is.

Featuring @Jaynesharp as the besieged mum, the hilarious clip pays strong homage to Alfred Hitchcock’s classic thriller, Psycho, right down to the staccato violin, only his didn’t have a live-action violinist so this is obviously better.

The sketch has received rave reviews.

There was particular praise for the realism of Jayne’s portrayal.

We’re not sure we want an answer to that.

Although it’s not just mothers who have to put up with this, it mostly is.

Mothers Ruined made a heartfelt plea on behalf of all those affected.

“Why do they always want you the second you’re trying to have some ‘Me Time’. Bunch of psychos!”
