Nobody’s suggesting for one minute that films should be exactly like real life – if that were the case, nobody would bother going. However, there are certain things that only ever crop up onscreen, that simply don’t make sense, and while we might be prepared to accept that alien robots can transform into cars to hide in plain sight, we’re less happy to accept that Megan Fox’ fingernails remain perfectly manicured and unchipped after she’s been scrambling through rubble to escape the bad guys.
