The Child’s Play remake poster has chilling news about a Toy Story favourite
Even if you’ve never watched Child’s Play, you’re probably well aware of its terrifying star, the murderous doll, Chucky. In a move guaranteed to give the old franchise an eager new audience, the film is to be remade with the inimitable Mark Hamill voicing the creepy creation, and this version will be released on June 21st – the same day as the new Toy Story film, leading its marketing department to have a bit of fun with the coincidence.
The worrying poster was shared with the punny caption,
There’s a new sheriff in town. Meet your new best friend on June 21.
Poor Woody; Andy will be devastated when he hears the news, not to mention Buzz.
The voice of Chucky, Mark Hamill himself, tweeted the poster with a neat little pun of his own.
This was Twitter’s reaction.

Someone named Amanda wasn’t worried about a Chucky-Woody showdown.
I think Woody can be scary if he wanted to. I think Woody could give Chucky a run for his money. pic.twitter.com/tWDEHO3gjh

But, will we see Tom Hanks fight Mark Hamill?
