We suspect this slippery baseball pitch invasion was worth missing the rest of the game
Nobody wants to see their sport rained off, but if it has to happen, it’s always good to find a positive in the situation. During a lull in a baseball match due to heavy rain, one fan watched officials lay a tarpaulin down to protect the pitch, and the temptation must have proved a little too much.

This was his big moment.
One fan during rain delay decided to use the tarp as his own slip n slide
They handcuffed him and took him away 👮♀️

Here he is from another angle, as his fun came to a sad end.
Seems an overzealous @Phillies fan took a unique approach to cooling down tonight at the game. @CBSPhilly video :@OtterHooligan pic.twitter.com/CgXmWEtUqW

Unlike the officials, a lot of people were here for the guy’s ingenuity.
I get why they had to cuff him and take him out, but I kind of hope they just let him go. It’s not like he disrupted the game or anything.

This should be a professional sport https://t.co/rYs7ycYRod

How often will you get the chance on a massive slip ‘n slide? Shoot your shot. https://t.co/hGckj9is4p

Sports writer Levi Weaver saw how it could be a money-spinner.
Hot Sports Opinion: this should be legal, and they should put soap on the tarp to make it even more fun. $10/slide. If you make it all the way from 1B-3B in one slide, it's free, and one lucky fan can choose to challenge a player of their choice. If they win, they're the opener. https://t.co/L7ou8Sea0W

They should consider doing this at half time during rainy Premier League matches.
