Katherine Ryan asked Twitter about her spider fright and there were some very biting replies
Comedian Katherine Ryan was bitten by a very scary looking spider so she did what any reasonable person would do in this situation, she posted a picture of it on Twitter.
Hello this spider was in my shoe and bit my foot and it really stings WILL I DIE YES OR NO Please help pic.twitter.com/yTl1OZiaMh

And there were some very biting replies, occasionally helpful but mostly just very funny.
1.
Take an antihistamine , if you start shooting webs out of your wrists swing between buildings to a doctor

2.
If she starts shooting webs then surely she has to start fighting crime.

Are you in Australia?

4.
Not to alarm you, but that looks like a false widow…

5.
Is that like the wife of the guy who 'disappeared' in his canoe?

6.
That might be a brown recluse, so worst case scenario you lose your foot and have a really awesome shoe permanently attached instead.

7.
Not a recluse.

He was actually rather social. Loved gallery openings and cocktail parties. He’ll be missed.

At first I just clicked 'like' but then I felt like it would be rude not to actually reply to someone's last ever Tweet.

Looks like a flat-packed spider. Maybe @IKEAUK can answer your question?

Eww. No thank you.

Would love to read the spider’s Twitter feed:
“Bit a famous comedian and she smashed me with her shoe. Lost some legs and my thorax. WILL I DIE YES OR NO. Please help”
— Box Boy (@Box_Boy99) 21 August 2019
Hard to believe we know but some people were actually helpful. Like this person.
That's definitely a male false widow, they are pretty bitey alright. Good news, you're not going to die. But it will sting and burn for a while. If it gets infected, go straight to the doctor. Otherwise you'll be grand. I got bit by one a few weeks back.
— Simon Ryan (@simon_ryan) 21 August 2019
And this person.
False widow spider by the look of it. The bites are quite painful but generally the symptoms pass without lasting effects. In saying that keep an eye on the area and contact your doctor if pain/swelling increases.

But one question remained.
Please reply if you’re alive…your fans need to know 😱😱
— Jim Ryan #FBPE (@jimryan68) 21 August 2019
I made it. 🕷
— Katherine Ryan (@Kathbum) 21 August 2019
Thank goodness for that.
