Amazon didn’t ask Gary Lineker to present its football and he had the perfect riposte
As you may have seen, Amazon Prime is currently showing rather a lot of Premier League football, 20 matches across the whole of December in a bid to make fans part with even more of their hard-earned than they already do.
Anyway, it feels like just about every single person you’ve ever seen do football on telly has been a part of it (43
presenters and pundits, by all accounts).
Well, everyone except Gary Lineker. And it didn’t go unnoticed. By Lineker, obviously.
Think I might be the only person in the football telly world not working with Amazon Prime. I can only presume my invitation was left with my next door neighbours.

Maybe they’ll ask him next time.
Would you work for us on Boxing Day? We can pay in crisps?

Good one!
I passionately dislike the way you've ignored BBC protocol in expressively overtly political beliefs on Brexit all the time, but I can appreciate a good joke when I read one.

There is only BBC protocol for those who work in news and current affairs. I’m freelance and in Sport. Sorry to disappoint. 🙄
