This crime victim received little sympathy from their WhatsApp group and it’s a very funny read
The fabulous Sir Michael – @Michael1979 on Twitter – is back, this time the unfortunate victim of a crime for which the WhatsApp group he went to the trouble of setting up had very little sympathy indeed.
It’s a brilliant read (and don’t forget to follow @michael1979 when you finish it).
‘Was the victim of crime today but I received very little sympathy from the members of this group chat I found on Facebook,’ said @Michael1979.
Some people.
Did they steal the batteries from the remote before they hid it?

No but I’m worried they may have replaced them with batteries that are slightly more used

This is uncanny. Someone – presumably the same organisation – did exactly that with my remote control last May.
An organised gang is at work. Sorry to hear you have such unhelpful neighbours. Have you reported their obstructiveness to the police?
— Bunstance Bunnidge (@BunstanceB) February 4, 2020
The police weren’t interested at all. Am worried they may be in cahoots with the thief

Did you ever find the perpetrator? Have you considered that he’s still in your house? Possibly down the back of your sofa just waiting for you to go to bed so he can rearrange your cushions.

Okay, well now I’m not going to sleep tonight. This is exactly like the time that man targeted those kids in the documentary I Know What You Did Last Summer. Except worse because I don’t deserve it.
