‘More than meets the eye is an English saying. It means that something is better than it looks.
In the drawing the angle thing is a greater than symbol. For examples x > y, is read x is greater than y. Although not really the mathematic jargon normally used, you can also read it as x is more than y.
So when the more than symbol meets the eye, you get, “More than meets the eye”‘ Khashim1
