‘When parents cook Christmas dinner’ is hilariously relatable
Comedy trio Foil Arms and Hog have recorded a sketch that perfectly captures that highly relatable experience of the family Christmas preparations – passive-aggressive parent-child interactions.
It comes courtesy of the beloved recurring characters Anne, her son Oisín and his good mate, Barry.
We don’t know who we feel for the most – Anne, with the impossible workload, Oisín getting nagged all the time or poor Barry and his home that’s so awful he doesn’t want to spend Christmas there.
YouTube users loved it – and quite rightly.
I think the mere thought of Barry ‘minding the house’ has finally pushed Anne into the arms of the brandy bottle!

Accurate – Parents Make something very complicated, then force you to help, then say your doing it wrong, so you end up doing nothing but your forced to stand there for the duration of the cooking cause they want to show you how it done. Great one lads.

Amazing! While the mother prepares thousands of dishes, Oisin accomplishes to decorate exactly one branch. Reminds me of home.^^

“i haven’t enjoyed christmas since 1972” sounds exactly like something my mum would say. Brilliant sketch as always guys!

Brilliantly done !
‘They will eat what’s out in front of them’…that’s definitely far too accurate.
the panic in Oisin’s eyes over the refilled bottle…gave me flashbacks 🤣

Walls2008 had no dilemma over their sympathies.
Tell me you’re old without telling me you’re old: “I completely agree with Ann!”
