Susie Dent’s subtle shade for the Downing Street revellers was word perfect

The official line from Downing Street is that the scene was that of a meeting in progress, though we can’t help wondering what the baby brought to the table. Or Wilfred, for that matter.
Deputy Prime Minister Dominic Raab, however, told the media that it was a wind-down session after a meeting with a few drinks – something which would definitely have broken Covid rules at that time.
