Boris Johnson’s ending Covid measures in England and the timing wasn’t lost on people – only 5 responses you need
In a parallel universe where Boris Johnson’s premiership wasn’t imploding, the government’s decision to sweep away Covid measures in England would presumably have got a bit more attention.
All Plan B Covid measures introduced to help combat the Omicron variant will end on 26 January, including compulsory mask-wearing on public transport and in shops, and compulsory self-isolation for people with Covid will end on 24 March.
Dropping isolation rules and masks sounds a lot like just letting vulnerable people die or get severely ill for no reason pic.twitter.com/h2jPqXbZT6

The timing of this announcement wasn’t lost on anyone and these 5 people surely said it best.
I will continue to wear a mask because it protects others, helps our overstretched NHS, limits the spread of Covid and I don’t believe in people losing their lives to save Boris Johnson’s arse.

What an amazing coincidence that the right time for Boris Johnson to lift all covid restrictions just happens to be the precise moment that Boris Johnson is most desperate to appease bonkers backbench MPs who have always been inexplicably opposed to all covid restrictions.

I’ll still be wearing my mask when moving indoors and travelling until I hear enough medics say it feels safe not to do so. I have no issue with a piece of cloth if it means the most vulnerable and our hospitals are protected. Save lives not the careers of politicians.

Decisions are now being made for the sole purpose of keeping BJ as pm. Not what’s good for the Country.

Coincidence surely that all the covid restrictions will be lifted whilst Boris tries to save his skin. Coincidence that the military must be used in the channel. Coincidence that the BBC is being threatened. No? Just self serving self interest to save his skin you say? 🧐

And this!
What really fucks me off about Johnson is how desperate the fucker is to cling to the job he can’t be arsed to do.
