This clip of Boris Johnson gurning away in the House of Commons on Wednesday is like the essence of the prime minister distilled into a 16 second clip.

Johnson was caught pulling faces at MPs opposite while chancellor Rishi Sunak addressed the House of Commons about the suffering in Ukraine one month on after Russia’s invasion.

Any moment would have been inappropriate to do this sort of thing, but they don’t come any more inappropriate than this.
