My friend’s dog loved shoving balls under the couch and waiting for a human to grab them. The dog would act distressed and wait for someone to feel sorry for him. My friend had to finally tell people “don’t do it, he’ll just keep doing it, and he’s learned to stop doing that with me.”‘
