17 annoying things that really ruin a film
There’s no such thing as the perfect film, unless we’re counting Paddington 2, obviously, but even an amazing film can be ruined by niggling little details in the show – or external factors.
Over on r/AskReddit, u/GhostintheCircuit0 acknowledged that fact and wanted a ready-made database of film-ruiners.
What completely ruins a movie for you?
Just about all of these came up more than once, so it looks like viewers are on the same page. Which ones get to you?

Subtitles. I just don’t get how people can tolerate those. How can I read the lines AND watch what’s happening???

When a movie is set in a specific place that we the audience know well from seeing it in other media, but it’s clearly not filmed there.

Plot twists that make no sense. I watched Crimes of Grindelwald with friends when it came out, if I hadn’t I’d have walked out. That movie was nonsense after nonsense.

Obvious lack of continuity.
NGC_1277I had the privilege of actually being a continuity error in a movie as an extra. In one shot, I’m between two guys. Cut to the shot from behind and I’m still between the two guys. Cut back to the front and I’m gone.
