Simply the best comeback for anyone who says Dan Stevens should apologise for his One Show Boris Johnson takedown
Actor Dan Stevens is the nation’s hero today for his epic takedown of Boris Johnson on BBC1’s The One Show.

We love every second of it (not least the look on presenter Alex Jones’ face at the end of it).
Here’s just a flavour of the love people were feeling for the Downton Abbey star today.
Throwing a party for Dan Stevens.

Is anyone thinking of starting a nationwide protest against the government? Possibly fronted by Dan Stevens? I’d be on that March.

And just like that, Dan Stevens became a fucking legend.

can you nominate Dan Stevens for a Bafta for that The One Show performance

Not everyone saw the hilarious side, as highlighted by author and TV presenter (of The One Show occasionally) Richard Osman.
I could read the replies to this all day. The certainty that it proves anti-Johnson bias AND pro-Johnson bias, and people who seem to know all the details of how The One Show is produced. On a side note, The One Show really is a joy to present.

And if anyone was expecting anyone to apologise for it, this is surely the only response you need, from TV critic Ian Hyland.
I’m hearing Dan Stevens has now apologised for his Boris Johnson joke on The One Show. Apparently, Dan had had a very busy day of work and wasn’t aware at the time that he was breaking BBC rules. He also didn’t realise he was on The One Show.
