David Baddiel had the best response to Boris Johnson and Nadine Dorries’s identical Angela Rayner tweet
You’ll no doubt have seen by now the Mail on Sunday’s misogynistic attack on Angela Rayner, suggesting Labour’s deputy leader is crossing and uncrossing her legs in the House of Commons in an effort to distract the Prime Minister.
The story prompted Boris Johnson to take to Twitter to ‘deplore’ the attack while saying he disagreed with Rayner on almost every political issue.
And we mention it because culture secretary – ha! – Nadine Dorries also took to Twitter to criticise the Mail on Sunday and its story.
Looks familiar?
And while lots of people pointed out the identical tweets …
BREAKING: Boris Johnson and Nadine Dorries have shown their solidarity with Angela Rayner by copying and pasting identical messages of support from their WhatsApp group into Twitter. Tories are nothing, if not sincere x

… the best response went to David Baddiel.
As much as I disagree with @BorisJohnson and @NadineDorries on every political issue, I deplore this clear attempt by an anonymous Government social media account handler to make them look fucking idiots. pic.twitter.com/ywRfK6Y9Sf

Boom.
And just in case you still can’t get enough of this, Sky News presenter Niall Paterson pointed out the identical tweets to Conservative MP and – Google, Google – technology minister Chris Philp.
And it really is worth watching in full.
Niall Paterson – Nadine Dorries tweeted the exact same tweet as Boris Johnson about the MoS article on Angela Rayner.. what’s going on?
Chris Philp – They share the same view
NP – Honestly, you’re trying to maintain she didn’t copy & paste it#KayBurley #BBCBreakfast pic.twitter.com/z4gzEm4GxB
