Kirsty Wark owned Jacob Rees-Mogg with facts and more of this sort of thing please
As the minister in charge of finding Brexit benefits – any benefit – Jacob Rees-Mogg can often be found turning – in the absence of anything else – to the vaccine rollout.
Except the vaccine rollout had nothing to do with Brexit, a point that Newsnight presenter Kirsty Wark was very happy to point out to Rees-Mogg on Monday night.
And it got everyone cheering.
Mogg: Vaccine roll out was because we left the EU
Wark: We did it in the transition period, any country could have done it, it was nothing to do with leaving the EU
Mogg: All of the EU countries could have chosen to
Wark: So it was nothing to do with brexit#Newsnight pic.twitter.com/C9v96SBR5c

More of this sort of thing please.
JRM on Mastermind. Specialist subject: convenient irrationality. https://t.co/x73aD0WIr3

Finally. Thank you, @KirstyWark. Can we please shut this nonsense down every time the lying weasels float it now? https://t.co/pQUnscjIYo

Yet, even at the end of the clip, JRM is still insisting 'it was', even when his own words showed that it wasn't. https://t.co/Fv4rTIc4fR

This is a straightforward case of @Jacob_Rees_Mogg cynically conflating correlation with causation.
He's banking on his audience being too distracted by his insouciant plummy pantomime to notice.
Low calibre charlatan. https://t.co/VsMkQdgABO

And also this.
Kirsty should have gone with the Mick Lynch ‘that is a lie’ approach.
