Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the political pages, another Tory scandal has raised its ugly head.
The tax affairs of the new Chancellor of the Exchequer, Nadhim Zahawi, have been under investigation by both the National Crime Agency and HMRC – with no current resolution.

To add an extra dimension, Boris Johnson – who was forced to step down over how much he knew about the inappropriate behaviour of Chris Pincher before he gave him a job – was made aware of the investigation into Zahawi’s taxes prior to his appointment.
