Michael Spicer had some savage tips for Boris Johnson from the Room Next Door
Boris Johnson’s so-called resignation speech didn’t actually involve him resigning – just a promise to step down once a successor has been chosen.
At least at the end Boris Johnson finally delivered a humble, coherent speech reflecting on his fail…
Nah, course not. Absolutely deluded drivel. He thinks he’s the victim.
If the Tories don’t get him out tonight they’re finished. pic.twitter.com/9C7HaEHGhE— Larry the Cat (@Number10cat) July 7, 2022
Even as we were watching it, in all its shambolic glory, we couldn’t help but wonder what Michael Spicer’s long-suffering unknown aide might be saying from the room next door.
Well, now we know.
Just to be on the safe side, I’ve written down the definition of ‘humble’ and e-mailed it to you under the subject heading ‘You have well and truly fucked everything up.’
If only someone had actually done this.
When Michael shared the post on Twitter, Wallpaper Wendy trended for hours, and the sketch was a lot better received than the PM’s speech had been.
Your finest work! 🤣 pic.twitter.com/EDpqlRad4T

We’d be one hundred per cent behind this idea.
