Anyone expecting Boris Johnson to be contrite or subdued at Prime Minister’s Questions on Wednesday simply hasn’t been paying attention.

The PM was in a boisterous and defiant mood, slinging childish insults at Sir Keir Starmer and trying to claim many successes during his time in office.

He insisted he had plenty to be proud of.
