The Oxford Lib Dems’ response to Liz Truss becoming PM was a masterclass in brutal brevity
Just like Liz Truss hasn’t always been a Brexiter, so she hasn’t always been a Conservative.
Back in her days at Oxford University, the nation’s new PM wasn’t just a keen Lib Dem, she was President of the university’s Liberal Democrats.
Here she is in a clip from the Lib Dem party conference back in the day calling for the abolition of the monarchy.
Anyway, we mention all of this because the Oxford University Liberal Democrats have just had their say on Truss’s unlikely elevation to Downing Street and it’s a masterclass in brevity.
sorry
